Sculpted by legendary Hall-of-Fame golfer Arnold Palmer, this members-only course is among the most nature-inspired tests of golf in the world today.
The five finishing holes are tucked up against the rugged and majestic terrain of the Santa Rosa Mountains. Bighorn sheep occasionally graze and get a bird’s eye view of PGA West golfers trying to navigate around the hidden waterways and mountainous topography.

PGA West Palmer Real Estate
Homes and condos in the PGA West Arnold Palmer Private course neighborhood were developed from 1985 through ’08. Most single family homes are located along the Palmer course golf holes. Condos are also located on the golf course, meandering around lushly landscaped water features. A few new homes on the course were completed in ’08.
Palmer Community Amenities
“The Palmer community features a private gated entrance on PGA Boulevard,” Sheri said. “Community pools and spas are located throughout the neighborhood, along with tennis courts, sport-courts and other amenities for owners, guests and renters. The Palmer Private clubhouse and fitness center are available to golf, fitness and social members.”
Palmer Course Golf Tournaments
The Humana Challagne Tournament (formerly The Bob Hope Chrysler Classic) has been staged on the Palmer Private since 1988. This event has been filled with true inspiration from tournament winners like Arnie himself, a five-time Hope champion.
Many Palmer Private home and condo owners enjoy watching the tournament action from the comfort of their private patios.
David Duval made history by recording a final round of 59 to win the 1999 Hope which, has never been duplicated! A plaque placed in the par-5 18th fairway marks the spot from which Duval hit his second shot over the water to the green during his unforgettable round.
